I & D Civil Group Pty Ltd, a company the ASIC register records under New South Wales, was wound up by an order of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 21 October 2026. ASIC’s published notice, dated 22 October 2026, names Stephen John Michell of PCI Partners Pty Ltd as liquidator. For NSW head contractors and principals with this firm on a civil package, the liquidator now holds the contracts, payment claims and retention.

Why it matters

A court liquidation under subsection 465A(2) of the Corporations Act is a different event to a board placing a company into voluntary administration. It follows an application to the court, and the order hands control of the company to an external liquidator rather than leaving the process with its directors.

On site, that shift is immediate. Contracts, plant and any retained security move under the liquidator’s control from the date of the order. Principals and head contractors on live civil works should confirm payment claims, variations and retention release with PCI Partners, not with the company’s own office.

The order was made in Victoria, not New South Wales, while the register lists the company under NSW. The notice does not say why the application ran in the Victorian court, and this report draws no inference from it. What it does mean for a Sydney operator is practical: the liquidator’s office is in Melbourne, so correspondence about NSW jobs goes interstate.

The notice does not state the company’s debts, its number of creditors, the applicant, or the circumstances behind the order. Treat any debt total attached to this company elsewhere as unverified until the liquidator’s report to creditors or a court document states it.

The numbers

The notice records I & D Civil Group Pty Ltd under ACN 680 852 199 and ABN 83 680 852 199, with a status of “In Liquidation”. The appointment date is 21 October 2026, the date of the court order. The notice itself is dated 22 October 2026, one day later.

It is lodged under subsection 465A(2) and regulation 5.4.01B, the provisions covering a winding-up order and the appointment of a liquidator. The court is listed as the Supreme Court, Victoria. The appointee is Stephen John Michell, liquidator, of PCI Partners Pty Ltd, Level 9, 179 Queen Street, Melbourne.

No creditor count, debt figure or trading address appears in the notice, so none is reported here.

What’s next

With the order in place, the liquidator takes control of the company’s affairs, identifies and realises any remaining assets, and investigates its trading before the order. Subcontractors and suppliers owed money will need to lodge a formal proof of debt with PCI Partners to share in any distribution.

The notice does not set a date for a creditors’ meeting. When one is called, it will appear in a later notice on the same ASIC register. Unless the company is restored, a court liquidation of this kind usually ends in deregistration once the liquidator’s work concludes.

I & D Civil Group’s order follows earlier court liquidations of NSW trade firms on the ASIC register this month, covered in NSW court liquidations: MKS Roofing, Braza, J&C Projects. The same day’s register also carried a winding-up order against AE Plumbing Pty Ltd, an unrelated company.

Anyone with an open claim against I & D Civil Group should use the liquidator’s contact details on the ASIC notice rather than the company’s previous contacts, since PCI Partners now has carriage of its affairs and correspondence.
